  1. It's been my experience that generally anyone in the service industry isn't very welcoming. Having worked in it I can tell you it kills the soul quick.

  2. Marc, do you guys ever stay home? 😛
You ought to do a top 5 love's and hate's of your home state! 🙂

  3. That crossing road thingy is so true
Even if it is a red light and you've already started to cross the road car can just pass in a front of you like 20-30 inches away from you. Scary. I'm Russian so it happen quite often ,especially if the police isn't nearby.

  4. Why visit Russia? Super cold, and face it who wants to get stuck i a communist country. The only good thing about Moscow is leaving.

  5. Only idiot go to russia father 2004-2012. If dont know what its mean, in russia, there are a lot of neo nazi and xenofobist.

  6. Learn the alphabet before you go. It is absolutely not difficult (you can master it entirely in 1 or 2 days with enough training) and will help you soo much. Don't be fooled though as pronunciation is a heartless bitch.
On the subject of prices: Russia is only expensive in St Petersburg and Moscow. If you go all other cities it will be surprisingly less expensive

  7. My wife and I visited St. Petersburg in 2014 as a cruise stop. It is truly beautiful city. We toured the Hermitage, and other sites through tours arranged by the cruise ship. We received polite courteous service from all places we toured and shopped.
