Hiring A Russian Army Van To Explore Siberia | Lake Baikal | Just Off The Trans Siberian Railway
Today we did something we have been looking forward to for a VERY long time… ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Today we explored Olkhon Island on Lake Baikal in Siberia, Russia in an old Russian army van. We’ve planned a couple of stops in Siberia, but we have been most excited about this one. Lake Baikal is the worlds deepest lake. It has enough water to cover the entire surface of the earth. Olkhon Island is a very popular tourist destination for the people of Russia and it’s also the biggest island on Lake Baikal.

We made our way here after stopping our Trans Siberian Railway trip in Irkutsk, the unofficial capital of Siberia. Olkhon Island is about a 6-hour drive from Irkutsk but it’s well worth the visit if you’re ever in Russia.

  1. This is such a cool idea, loving you edits btw. How was your experience of Trans Siberian Railway, what routes did you take if you don't mind me asking.

  2. Sweet drone shots through the clouds. I’ve never tried this. Think I’m going to have to now after seeing this. And your van is sweet as!!!!
